Who can become a member?
Membership into Friends of Jesus Association (FOJ) is open for all adults, teenagers and children of all sexes who indicate interest to worship and pray with us. Come and join us to promote and propagate the Christian Faith by establishing new structures and foundations of Faith in the lives of God’s children as well as reviving the lukewarm Christians through evangelization and outreach.

Spirituality of FOJ
The Friends of Jesus Association is a charism group founded by Rev Fr Patrick Adegbite to evangelize and win souls for Christ by bringing them into the Church. The group in line with the vision of the founder to grow the Church and the spirituality of its members tends to build up communities of spirit filled Christians and Catholics especially where there are not existing so that through the power of the Holy Spirit also in line with the teachings of the Church, would in turn go out to seek more souls to convert for our Lord Jesus Christ
To save souls for Christ by bringing them to a personal encounter with Jesus Christ and growing the faith through the scriptures and teachings of the Church.
To promote and propagate the Christian Faith by establishing new structures and foundations of faith in the lives of God’s children as well as reviving the lukewarm Christians through evangelization and outreach.
The spirituality of the Friends of Jesus Association (FOJ), is to help people discover their charism or God given gifts and exercise them to the glory of God and for the growth of the Catholic Church.
This spirituality, is exhibited in the style of prayer, whereby the various gifts and charisms of the Holy Spirit which are received, are used to provoke a deep divine connection and understanding of God, through our prayers.
Rev Fr Patrick Adegbite, taught and displayed this prayer pattern in his works as a priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos, which helped a lot of people, especially the members of FOJ, to discover God in a very special and unique way and to manifest the gifts and graces received through this pattern of prayer, to the glory of God and the good of the Catholic Church.
Words From Our Members
I have receive a personal connection with Jesus Christ. He is somebody we can talk to any time of day about anything at all. He is always there, through thick and thin, and He is always able to help us. Jesus is somebody to whom we can say “Help, me, I’m struggling, I’m sinning, I don’t know what to do.” And Jesus will say back to us: “I know, I’ve been tempted there too, but I got victory over that, let me show you how. Let me give you strength.”

During FOJ program, I Received the Holy Spirit as a help and companion in my life . He guides me in all things; a helper for whatever happens. He shows me y sins, and what I must do to overcome them, and then He gives me power to do so! He is an engine, a motor that drives me forward and gives me strength when I feel that I have none.

It is easy to be happy when everything in your life is going well but being a Christian means being happy even when things seem to be going against us.

Categories of membership
Step 1: Ministers:
This category of members, must have gone through a spiritual development program, to discover themselves and the spiritual role God has for them, whether as teachers, evangelizers, caretakers etc. It is believed that every Christian, has a spiritual office/role, God has assigned them to operate in, to fulfill themselves spiritually and glorify God. After this program, these members become better equipped, to handle both the spiritual and administrative responsibilities of the FOJ.

Step 2: Associate Members
This category of members, have not undergone any Spiritual program like the Life in the Spirit Seminar, the Alpha Course or any other such program. They are active in the program of the FOJ and show good commitment to the activities and programs of the group. They however, cannot perform certain spiritual activities like deliverance prayers, general intercessory prayers and leading any section or unit of the FOJ.
